FREE Breakfast & Lunch for CPS Students During State of Emergency

NOTE: The information in this post has been updated reflecting changes in the administration of the program effective April 6th. Meal pickup is now from 11 a.m. to noon (not 1pm). Another change is that children will no longer be required to be present for meal pickup. Additionally, meals will no longer be available at Withrow High School and Frederick Douglass School. Families living near Douglass are encourage to pick up their meals at Evanston Academy, which will now have meals available.

 

Healthy meals will be distributed at 24 school sites during the three-week school closure mandate issued by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to mitigate the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19).

Cincinnati Public Schools’ Student Dining Services will be distributing meals on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays, with four meals (two breakfast and two lunches) on Mondays & Wednesdays and two meals (one breakfast and one lunch) on Fridays, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. All meals will exceed USDA nutritional requirements and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Families with children between the ages of 1-18 can drive thru or walk up and pick up meals at the school sites. Children do not need to be present with their family for meal pickup.

Meal distribution will be in the parking lot at each school. If driving, please stay in your vehicle and meals will be presented to the driver, based on the number of children in the vehicle.

This program is available solely for the pick-up of meals. Food cannot be consumed on-site. Also, to reduce the spread of COVID-19, families are encouraged not to congregate at the school once meals have been distributed.
