Free Food for Eligible Norwood Residents

The Norwood Food Closet offers a free bag of groceries which may be picked-up at the Norwood Health Department between 1 and 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays. Limit is one bag of groceries per person per month. A case worker must call between 9 and 10 a.m. on the day you wish to pick up the free groceries, to get on the list of recipients. The phone number is 924-2560. Eligibility requirements include being a Norwood resident. You must show proof of residence (mail with your name and address on it) and a photo ID. The Norwood Health Department is located at 2059 Sherman avenue in downtown Norwood. This service is made possible in part by donations from the Norwood Presbyterian Church.
