Hamilton County Parks Offer Free Annual Permits for Food Benefit Recipients

Hamilton County has some of the best public parks in the State of Ohio, with wooded walking and biking trails, camp grounds, playgrounds, splash pads, and other recreational facilities, many of which can be enjoyed free of cost.
Parking permits are typically required, but certain days of the year allow free parking. Additionally, if you show your EBT card on one of these Free Entry Days, you will receive a free annual Motor Vehicle permit– allowing you free parking in Hamilton County Parks ANY day through December 31st. One permit per card.
Here’s how it works:
1. Visit a Hamilton County Parks visitor center on any of the following Free Entry Days in 2022:
Thursday, February 17 – Random Acts of Kindness Day
Friday, April 22 – Earth Day
Saturday, May 21 – Kids to Parks Day
Saturday, June 4 – National Trails Day
Sundday, July 17 – Great Parks of Hamilton County’s Birthday
Saturday, September 24 & Sunday, September 25 – Great Outdoors Weekend & National Public Lands Day
Friday, November 11 – Veterans Day
Friday, November 25 – Opt Outside Day
2. Show your Ohio EBT Card (Ohio Direction Card) and receive a free annual Motor Vehicle Permit. Here are the Hamilton County Great Park Visitor Center Locations:
