Attend Metro’s free Operator Information and Testing Session on Wednesday, Oct. 3, at the Training Center at Metro’s Queensgate Garage, 1401 Bank St. (intersection of Bank and Dalton, just north of the main Post Office). Interested individuals can choose from two sessions: Morning 8:00 a.m. – noon Afternoon 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. The information and testing session will cover: Metro as an organization Overview of the Metro bus operator job requirements Health, dental and retirement benefits Testing requirements A tour of the Queensgate operating facility Applicants must be at least 21 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and a current Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). To attend the orientation, interested individuals must submit an online application and must be contacted by a recruiter before attending. Metro has almost 500 bus operators, and is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 17 million rides per year. # # #
