Metro Express Ridership Up Again Last Month

This increase demonstrates that Metro is a viable option for our residents,” said Terry Garcia Crews, Metro’s CEO. “If you drive 20 or 25 miles one-way to work, you’re probably using two gallons of gas a day. Metro offers a convenient alternative to paying higher gas prices.” Local commuters can save $4,500 or more a year by riding transit. As a fun reminder of the savings, Metro has partnered with Cricket Wireless to give three contest winners the chance to grab up to $4,500 in cash this summer. The Money Grab contest, sponsored by Cricket Wireless, will run through Aug. 19, 2011. No public or Metro funds are being used for the Money Grab.
