Metro Fare Deal Office Moving to Silverton
The Metro Fare Deal Office is moving to Metro’s Silverton Eligibility building, 7000 Montgomery Road. Last day in Mercantile Center is June 28, 2013. CINCINNATI – The Metro Fare Deal Office is moving from the Mercantile Center downtown to Metro’s Silverton Eligibility building, 7000 Montgomery Road. The last day for the Fare Deal office in the Mercantile Center is June 28, 2013. Metro is currently completing renovations at the Silverton location and plans to open the new Fare Deal Office on July 8, 2013. Hours of operation will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 8:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. The Fare Deal program, which offers reduced fare for older adults and people with disabilities who qualify and are certified for the program, has about 8,700 registered customers. Fare Deal is not an income-based program. Eligibility decisions are made based on federal guidelines. New Fare Deal smart cards are scheduled to launch on September 1, 2013. To use the new Fare Deal smart card, customers will just need to tap the new smart cards on the target on the farebox and show it to the bus operator before paying the reduced fare.
