CINCINNATI – John Ravasio was named as Metro’s Labor Relations and Employment Law Manager on Oct. 3.CINCINNATI – John Ravasio was named as Metro’s Labor Relations and Employment Law Manager on Oct. 3. Ravasio previously worked as an attorney for Veolia Transportation. In that role he focused on labor law, grievance arbitration and client counseling, since 2005. Ravasio has been a lead negotiator for multiple public transit labor contracts throughout the United States. In addition, he has been lead counsel in multiple arbitration cases in his career. Ravasio is a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Ohio Bar Association and the American Bar Association. While attending law school, Ravasio worked in a variety of roles and capacities as a Legal Extern for the National Labor Relations Board and a Law Clerk for the Sanders Law Firm. He received a B.A. in Government and International Relations from the University of Notre Dame in 2001 and a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2006. Ravasio resides in Monfort Heights with his wife, Katie, and daughter, Grace. Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 17 million rides per year.
