Metro Names New Fleet And Facilities Director
CINCINNATI – Metro has named Carlos Rowland Metro’s new Fleet & Facilities Director, effective Aug. 1. He reports to Metro’s Chief Operations Officer, Inez Evans.CINCINNATI – Metro has named Carlos Rowland Metro’s new Fleet & Facilities Director, effective Aug. 1. He reports to Metro’s Chief Operations Officer, Inez Evans. Rowland’s responsibilities include the oversight and management of Metro’s buses, vehicle fleet, facilities and equipment to ensure efficient, effective and safe operation. He has 40 years of public transit operations, maintenance, and support experience. Most recently, Rowland was Director of Maintenance at LexTran, the transit authority of Lexington, Ky. He served as Acting Maintenance Director and as a maintenance consultant for Professional Transit Management LLC, a national transportation management firm. He also worked in several positions at Metro, including Director of Metro’s Queensgate Operating Division. He lives in Dry Ridge, Ky. Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 17 million rides per year.
