Metro Ridership Up 20% on Western Hills Routes

More Western Hills commuters were trading their keys for bus passes this March. Three routes serving Metro’s Glenway Crossing Transit Center and park & ride increased ridership more than 20% in March. Rt. 38X Glenway Crossing-Uptown Express: With direct service to the University of Cincinnati and Uptown hospitals and employers, the Rt. 38X Glenway Crossing-Uptown Express provided 21.7% more rides on last month compared to March 2013. Rt. 32 Price Hill: Rt. 32 serves the Glenway Crossing Transit Center on weekdays. Overall, Rt. 32 ridership was up 20.5% for March compared to last year. Rt. 32 provides a critical connection from Price Hill to the Glenway Crossing Transit Center, where the route connects with crosstown service to Uptown, Hyde Park and Oakley. Rt. 41 Glenway-Oakley Crosstown: The Rt. 41 Glenway Crossing-Oakley service was up 24.1% in March. The route connects at Glenway Crossing with routes from Delhi, Price Hill and Westwood to provide crosstown service to Uptown, Hyde Park and Oakley. Rt. 41 also serves the new Mercy Health West Hospital, operating onto the hospital’s property for convenient access. Opened in 2012, the Glenway Crossing Transit Center and park & ride is located at 5080 Glencrossing Way, at the intersection of Anderson Ferry. Parking is free for park & ride patrons.
