The Operator Career Day is a convenient one-stop hiring event for anyone interested in learning more about becoming a bus operator. The career days will be held on Saturdays, Oct. 8, Nov. 5 and Dec. 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Metro’s Queensgate garage, 1401 Bank St. Registered applicants will be able to spend the day “shadowing” an operator to see what a day is like out on the road and learn what skills and training is required to become an operator. Applicants will also have the opportunity to learn about the many benefits and career advancement opportunities within Metro, take the operator hiring assessment and interview on-site. Applicants do not need to have a CDL to apply. Metro will assist qualified applicants through the process and even reimburse them for their CDL fees. Metro offers competitive pay and employees receive comprehensive health and dental insurance, free transportation passes for spouse and dependents and retirement benefits. Those interested in a career as a Metro operator are asked to apply here and complete an online application prior to the career day. For more information and to reserve your spot at the career day call 513-632-7559. Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 17 million rides per year.
