Our employees = our Staying Power
It’s not uncommon to meet someone who has worked for Hamilton County Job and Family Services for 20 years, 25 years, 30 years. In fact, we have 30 employees who have worked here more than three decades each.
In a time when people don’t stay in jobs as much for pensions and retirement, what makes our folks stay? What is it about JFS that keeps them coming in each day? That’s what we’re going to find out.
Today we start Staying Power, a new series highlighting the many employees who stay here, who make careers out of serving people who need help. They’re our staying power both inside our walls and out.

She’s our Contract Services section chief. That means, every day she protects taxpayer dollars by making sure all our contracts are done by the book.
Here 35 years next month
Why she stays: “I believe in our mission and there are new challenges every day – I have a passion for learning. I also stay because of the people who work for me and who I work for.”
Fun fact: She has a degree in music therapy and started out as an activities therapist working with kiddos in our emergency shelter.
