Live music, prizes & food on Dump the Pump DayCINCINNATI – National Dump the Pump Day is on 6/16/16 this year, and Metro is celebrating this unique date with #61616, a Ridership Event featuring FREE bus rides for registered participants, live entertainment and refreshments. Participants who pledge to ride the bus, instead of taking their cars in celebration of the day, will have a chance to win fun prizes, including tickets to a Jimmy Buffet concert, Kings Island passes, a Taste of Belgium gift certificate and much more. Participants will also enjoy live music from The Cliftones, Elementree Livity Project, Buggs Tha Rocka and Jess Lamb who will be performing at bus stops throughout the day. Metro is joining more than 100 transit systems around the country for the 11th annual Dump the Pump Day, which encourages people to ride public transportation to take them where they need to go, instead of driving a car. Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 16 million rides per year.
