Council On Aging Offers FREE Exercise Program September 24th Through December 3rd
|
As we age, maintaining a regular exercise routine becomes increasingly important for our overall health and well-being. For elderly adults, staying physically active can help prevent illness, improve mobility and flexibility, and enhance overall quality of life. Regular exercise has been shown to reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis, as well as improve cognitive function and mental health. By incorporating regular physical activity into their daily routine, elderly adults can experience numerous benefits that can help them live longer, healthier, and more independent lives.
The Council on Aging is offering FREE an exercise program to enhance mobility, flexibility and overall quality of life for elderly adults on Mondays and Thursdays, from 6 PM to 7 PM. The classes will be held September 24th through December 3rd, in the Golf Manor Municipal Hall, located at 6450 Wiehe Road. Registration ends September 18th.
The program combines a recreational BINGO game with simple exercises, and question answers about health and fall prevention. The activity is thus called “Bingocize Exercise”, and is meant to be a fun social activity with the added bonus of exercise.
There is a flyer available for download to share with interested parties. The flyer has a QR Code to scan for Registration.
