Note that the ability for transgender individuals to update their social security card to correct the sex identification, which was first afforded on the social security website in 2021, was removed this past week in 2025. The removed page is viewable in the internet archive here: https://web.archive.org/web/20240812035616/https://www.ssa.gov/personal-record/change-sex-identification
