The State of Ohio has indefinitely suspended the Afterschool Child Enrichment Educational Savings Account Program. The program provided eligible families up to $1000 on allowable afterschool activities for childhood enrichment. The program provided this assistance to Ohio families of children ages 6 to 18 who meet income requirements or reside in a designated school district.

For families currently enrolled in the program, with unspent funds, the spending deadline has been extended from July 1st 2024, to September 1st 2025. We published a story last year on how to apply for the program, which requires an OH ID account. If you are currently enrolled in the program and have questions or need help submitting a claim for reimbursement of eligible activities, you can use the Help Center available online which is still active.
