Metro Bus Fall Service Changes Take Effect August 11th

SORTA has announced that effective Sunday, August 11th, 2024, Metro’s fall service change will go into effect. Here’s a brief summary of the changes.

A new route, Route 61 Galbraith Crosstown will debut, connecting Mt. Airy to Madeira and Reading Road seven days a week.

There will be three major bus route changes, which include the following: Route 12 will serve Uptown instead of Downtown; Route 32 will eliminate the Addyston branch; Route 77 will expand service to all day, seven days a week, and cover the former Route 32 Addyston branch.

Due to lower ridership, service frequency will be reduced on two routes: Route 5 weekday frequency to Sharonville will be reduced to hourly service; and Route 67 weekday frequency will be reduced to 45 minutes.

Eleven routes will be adjusted to manage peak demand of student riders with the return of CPS Service. These include Routes 4, 11, 17, 22, 24, 31, 32, 37, 41, 43, and 51.

There will be a minor route change on Route 25, in which the end of the line will shift to the Kenwood Loop off Madison Road.

Route 21 will have increased weekday frequency during mid-day and on weekends, with downtown routing changed due to Elm Street closure between 5th and 6th.

And Route 72 will adjust service to support Kings Island’s hours of operation.
