FREE Chronic Disease Self-Management Classes

A series of educational classes on Chronic Disease Self-Management will be held July 10th through August 14th on Thursdays from 5:30 PM to 8 PM, in Village Municipal Building of Golf Manor, located at 6450 Wiehe Road. Classes are FREE to the public. Registration for the classes is available online.

The course is provided by the Council on Aging, and aim to help individuals better manage chronic conditions and the challenges that accompany them. Tips are offered for healthy eating and how to manage frustration, fatigue and isolation. Tips are also provided for light exercise to maintain and improve strength and flexibility, and how to improve communication with family, friends and doctors. Education is also provided on appropriate use of medications, and how to better make informed treatment decisions. More information is available at the Council on Aging website.
