Free Thanksgiving Meals for those in Need

Good Plates Eatery, located at 235 W McMillan Street, in Clifton near the University of Cincinnati serves a traditional Thanksgiving meal for FREE, no questions asked, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving every year. Anyone is welcome to pick up a meal no questions asked, starting at 11 AM, on Wednesday November 27th. The dining room will be open for anyone who wants to eat inside the restaurant, or one can pick up the meal to go.

There are also other locations providing FREE Thanksgiving meals.

The Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy, located at 2026 East Seymour Avenue, will be hosting a Thanksgiving Meal Distribution drive-through event, Thursday November 20th from 9 AM to 3 PM. Participants must remain in their vehicles as volunteers load groceries, and there is a limit of two meal packages per vehicle.

On Saturday November 23rd, from 9 AM to 11 AM, the Northern Kentucky Immanuel United Methodist Church, located at 1440 Boone Aire Rd, Florence, will also be hosting a Holiday Meal Distribution event. This event provides ingredients for a Thanksgiving meal, typically including a turkey and fixings, on a drive-through basis while supplies last. No sign-up or registration is needed to receive a meal kit.

St. Vincent de Paul Neyer Outreach Center, located at 1146 Bank Street, will distribute Thanksgiving meals on Tuesday, November 25th, starting at 9:00 AM. Any Hamilton County resident is eligible with a photo ID.

And on Tuesday November 26th, from 4:30 PM to 7 PM, The Cincinnati Bengals are hosting a Holiday Meal Distribution Event, at the Fifth Third Operations Center, located at 5050 Kingsley Road.

The list of Holiday Meal distribution sites in this post is only a small sampling of those available in the Tri-State area. The Cincinnati Freestore Foodbank maintains a list of addresses, dates, and times of additional local food distribution sites. Not all of these sites provide “holiday specific meals” but all provide meals freely available to those in need.
