FREE Meals Offered for Christmas

Good Plates Eatery near the University of Cincinnati is serving a Christmas Eve meal at noon, at their location on 235 West McMillan Street, in Clifton. Doors will open at 11:30 AM. “No Reasons, No Questions, No Charge.” Anyone is welcome to either pick up a meal, or stay and eat. This Christmas Eve meal will consist of Roasted Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Green Beans and Stuffing, Bread and Rolls, Cookies and baked goods. Donated coats and winter wear will be available as well.
On Christmas day, the Northern Kentucky Convention Center will host its 38th Annual FREE Christmas Celebration and Dinner. Doors open at 9:30 AM. They’ll be giving out gifts, including toys for children, and a visit from Santa Claus, Rudolph the red nose reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. The Christmas Day Dinner will be served from 10 AM to 1 PM. FREE parking is available in the garage across Madison Avenue from the convention center. If interested in just the meal, visit the Parish Kitchen, located 1561 Madison Avenue in Covington Kentucky. They are distributing between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM on Christmas day.
The Cincinnati Freestore Foodbank maintains a list of addresses, dates, and times of additional local food distribution sites. Not all of these sites provide “holiday specific meals” but all provide meals freely available to those in need.
