METRO TO OFFER FREE RIDES FOR VETERANS ON VETERANS DAY

Ride Fare-Free on Metro on Nov. 11 with a Military ID“Providing veterans in our community with free rides is just a very small way of saying thank you for their sacrifice, bravery and commitment to serving and protecting our country,” said Interim Metro CEO Darryl Haley.To ride for free, active, reserve and retired military members are asked to show valid proof of veteran status upon boarding the bus, including:·         U.S. Department of Defense issued military ID card,·          Veterans Affairs ID card ·         State issued driver’s license with veteran designation.For schedule information or to plan a trip, download Transit App, or visit go-metro.com. Metro will operate on its normal weekday schedule on Veterans Day.Metro is a non-profit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 14 million rides per year. #  #  #
