Healthcare Services for Homeless

The Cincinnati Health Network serves individuals experiencing homelessness or living with HIV/AIDS in the Tri-State area. They provide the following services at all their locations: Physical Exams, Blood Tests, Medication Assistance, Drug and Alcohol Abuse Screening & Treatment, Smoking Cessation Help, Diabetes Treatment and Education, Dental Referrals, Pregnancy testing, Testing for HIV and other STDs, Depression Screening and Treatment, Assistance with Disability Paperwork, Short-term Counseling, and Benefits Enrollment.
The cost of these services are offered on a sliding scale, based on income level and family size. Those who are homeless are eligible for a sliding fee discount if income is at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. If income is at or below 100% of the federal poverty level, a full discount is available and fees slide to zero. Those with HIV/AIDS are eligible for a sliding fee discount if income is at or below 300% of the federal poverty level.
The Cincinnati Health Network accepts most types of medical insurance, and provides enrollment assistance for those eligible for Medicaid or Medicare. All locations accept scheduled appointments, as well as walk-in, same day service.

The McMicken Integrated Care Clinic, located at 40 East McMicken Avenue on the 2nd floor, Mondays through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5 PM, with afterhours answering service, (513) 386-7899, and fax (513) 873-5622;
The Barron Shelterhouse for Men, located at 411 Gest Street, Mondays 10 AM to 7 PM, and Tuesday through Fridays, 7:30 AM to 5 PM, with afterhours answering service, (513) 386-7899, and fax (513) 873-5622;
The Hatton Shelterhouse for Women, located at 2499 Reading Road, Wednesdays 8 AM to 5 PM, with afterhours answering service, (513) 386-7899, and fax (513) 873-5622; and
The Peter T. Frame Primary Care Center, located at 4138 Hamilton Avenue, Thursdays 8 AM to 5 PM, with afterhours answering service, (513) 386-7899, and fax (513) 873-5622.
Services also include an online patient portal for individuals with internet access to obtain one’s medical information from these different clinic offices.
