Free Afterschool Meals for Kids and Teens Available at Select Branch Libraries

Free afterschool meals for kids and teens are available at select library branches throughout Cincinnati and Hamilton County. In partnership with United Methodist Church Food Ministry, kids ages 1 through 18 can enjoy free meals Mondays through Fridays at the Library throughout the school year.

There are 15 participating branches of the Cincinnati Hamilton County Public Library. These branches and times of meal availability are as follows:

Avondale Public Library, from 3:15 to 3:45 p.m.; 

Bond Hill Public Library, from 4 to 5 p.m.;

Cheviot Public Library, from 3 to 3:30 p.m.;

College Hill Public Library, from 3 to 4 p.m.;

Covedale Public Library, from 3 to 4 p.m.;

Elmwood Place Public Library, from 3:30 to 4 p.m.;

Groesbeck Public Library, from 3:15 to 3:45 p.m.;

Madisonville Public Library, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. ;

Mt. Healthy Public Library, from 3:30 to 4 p.m.;

Northside Public Library, from 3:30 to 4 p.m.;

Price Hill Public Library, from 4 to 5 p.m.; 

Reading Public Library, from 3:30 to 4 p.m.; 

St. Bernard Public Library, from 2:45 to 3:45 p.m.; 

Walnut Hills Public Library, from 3 to 4 p.m.; and the

Westwood Public Library, from 3 to 3:30 p.m. 

Meal service locations and serving times are subject to change. An up-to-date list of these branches and times of meal availability can always be found on the Cincinnati Hamilton County Public Library Free Meals webpage. These branches are great locations for kids to safely enjoy a free, nutritious meal, and get homework done before heading home. Participants must eat their meals at the Library.

Who is Eligible for the FREE Meals?

All children ages 1 through 18 are eligible to receive free meals. Individuals ages 19 through 21 who have been identified as having mental or physical disabilities and are following Individualized Education Programs (I.E.Ps) through their current enrollment in educational programs also are eligible for free meals. There are no other eligibility requirements.
