FREE Fruits & Vegetables Using SNAP E B T at Participating Locations throughout Ohio

Access to fruits and vegetables is essential for maintaining good health and overall well-being. For low-income individuals and families, limited access to affordable and fresh produce can pose a significant barrier to achieving a balanced and nutritious diet. This can lead to an increased risk of chronic health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Ensuring equitable access to fruits and vegetables is crucial in addressing health disparities and promoting healthy eating habits among all members of the community. By increasing access to these vital food sources, we can improve the health outcomes and quality of life for low-income individuals and families.

There are a number of locations locally that offer dollar per dollar matching on purchases of fruits and vegetables. The Produce Perks program offers up to $25 in FREE fresh fruits and vegetables to SNAP EBT participants at Farmer’s Markets and grocery stores throughout Ohio. The program provides a $25 match on SNAP EBT purchases. This means that any amount spent with SNAP EBT, up to $25, will be matched dollar per dollar. That’s up to $25 in FREE fruits and vegetables.

A map of participating locations can be found on their website, and we’ve provided a pdf of locations that one can download and share with interested parties.
