Metro Procedures And Resources For Winter Weather Disruptions

As a round of winter weather moves through the region Sunday morning into Tuesday, Metro is reminding the public of various procedures and resources available in the event that snow or ice disrupts their normal bus service.

In the event of significant ice or snow, Metro will still run service, but detours and delays may be possible. Updated service information will be provided through the following outlets:

1) Metro’s Cincy EZAlerts  is a free tool that allows riders to sign up to receive service alerts by text or email, including information about detours and service interruptions for their route. Metro customers can subscribe for alerts at go-metro.com/cincyezalerts .

2) Real-time bus-tracking on the Transit App  or on the individual route pages of the scheduling section on Metro’s website.

3) Metro’s detour blog  also provides information and bus schedules. A list of snow detour-routes can be found here.

4) Metro’s Customer Care Center (513-632-7575) is open weekdays from 6:30 AM to 6 PM and 8 AM to 5 PM weekends and holidays.

IMPORTANT:  Please note that Metro buses cannot stop safely on snowy or icy hills. Customers should board at the top or bottom of hills.
