FAN and A/C Distribution at St. Vincent DePaul
|
|
Program update – Fall 2026. The AC request form opens annually on May 1. At this time, due to a large volume of requests and overwhelming need, St. Vincent de Paul is no longer accepting new AC requests for the 2026 season. Please check back next May. For immediate or general assistance, contact the St. Vincent de Paul Helpline at 513-421-0602.
To qualify to receive an Air Conditioning unit, applicants must be 65-years-old or older or have a medical need. When the program is active, applications to receive an AC unit are available online at SVDPcincinnati.org/AC.
Completing an application does not guarantee receipt of an AC, as supplies are limited. There is a limit of one air conditioner per household, and households are eligible to receive an air conditioner only once every five years.
The full list of Eligibility Requirements are as Follows:
1) Applicant must live in Hamilton County;
2) Applicant must be 65 years old or older or have a medical need for an AC unit (no doctor’s note required, but reason must be disclosed on the form);
3) Applicant must not have received an AC unit from St. Vincent DePaul in the last four years; and
4) There is a limit of one unit per household/address.
Program staff review applications and contact eligible applicants to arrange for AC pickup. Successful applicants need to bring a photo ID and sign a waiver in order to receive their AC unit at the Neyer Outreach Center, located at 1125 William L. Mallory, Sr. Street, Cincinnati, OH 45214 (Note: Bank Street has been renamed).
Box Fan Distribution Ended
Please note that St. Vincent de Paul Cincinnati is no longer distributing box fans. The summer program now strictly provides AC units to eligible individuals during the active distribution window.
