Upcoming Free Ballet and Yoga Events

Several Hamilton County Public Libraries are hosting FREE yoga and ballet events for individuals of all ages. Practicing yoga promotes flexibility, strength, and balance, enhancing physical well-being regardless of age. Ballet fosters grace, coordination, and posture, contributing to overall body awareness and confidence throughout life’s stages. Both disciplines offer mental benefits such as stress reduction, mindfulness, and a sense of inner calm, making them valuable practices for individuals of all ages to cultivate holistic health and wellness.

The Hamilton County Public Library branches that are hosting these no-cost wellness opportunities are as follows:

Every third Saturday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM the Bond Hill Branch library, located at 1740 Langdon Farm Road, hosts “Gentle Yoga with Judy”. Yoga mats are available. Registration for this no-cost event is recommended to ensure space is available.

Mondays, February 19th and 26th from 5 PM to 6 PM, the Price Hill Branch library, located at 970 Purcell Avenue, will host “Kid’s Yoga”, led by certified kids yoga instructor, Candace Rhoill of The Little Yogi. The opportunity is designed for kids ages 5 to 9 years old. Interested parties may read more about the event on their web page, or call 513-369-4490 with any questions.

Every Third Saturday from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, the Mariemont Branch library, located at 3810 Pocahontas Avenue, hosts a Cincinnati Ballet workshop introducing the fundamentals of ballet. The no-cost event is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all. Participants can choose whether they’d prefer to dance seated, standing, or with a mobility device.
