Trick of Treat Options for Kids this Week

Some kids live on blocks where none of the homes really participate in Halloween, or not in a kid friendly way. For these kids, optional locations for celebrating Halloween are a must! There are a number of locations throughout Cincinnati that are having safe events for kids to go trick-or-treating this weekend.

Options for the Week of Halloween

Trick or Treat at Findlay Market! Thursday, October 31st, from 4 PM to 6 PM, storefronts at Findlay Market, located at 1802 Race Street, will be celebrating Halloween and offering candy trick or treaters. Families, school groups, and neighbors are all welcome. This event is free.

Jack O’Lantern Glow at the Cincinnati Zoo! From 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM each remaining night through October 31st, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, located at 3400 Vine Street, will have an immersive walk-through experience with more than 5 thousand hand carved pumpkins and fall displays along a half-mile trail inside the zoo. The event is family friendly and FREE for children under 3 years of age.

Halloween Events Hosted by Public Libraries! There are several children friendly Halloween events available at local public libraries.

Tuesday October 29th, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, the Mariemont Branch library located at 3810 Pocahontas Avenue, will host The Mariemont Monster Mash, a costume dance party and scavenger hunt for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. The event is FREE, and no registration is required.

Tuesday October 29th from 6 PM to 7:30 PM, the Hebron Branch library located at 1863 North Bend Road, will host a Halloween Party, including trick or treating on the story walk. The event is FREE, and no registration is required.

Wednesday October 30th from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM, the Price Hill Branch library located at 970 Purcell Avenue, will host Spooky Pictures, a spooky picture painting event using salt and watercolors for children ages 5 through 12. The event is FREE and no registration is required.

All day Thursday October 31st, the Westwood Branch library located at 3345 Epworth Avenue, will host Trick or Treat at the Library, with treats for those in costume. The event is FREE, all ages are welcome, no registration is required.

Thursday October 31st from 5 PM to 6 PM The Friars Club, located at 4300 Vine Street, will host a Trunk or Treat event. Trunks are decorated, and trick or treaters visit each car trunk for candy! Join in for food, games, prizes, a costume contest, and more!

Cincinnati Neighborhood Trick or Treating will take place on Thursday, October 31st, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Some neighborhoods have adjusted hours
