Some kids live on blocks where none of the homes really participate in Halloween, or not in a kid friendly way. For these kids, optional locations for celebrating Halloween are a must! There are a number of locations throughout Cincinnati that are having safe events for kids to go trick-or-treating this weekend.

Options for the Week of Halloween

Trick or Treat at Findlay Market! Saturday, October 31st, from 4 PM to 6 PM, storefronts at Findlay Market, located at 1801 Race Street (Phone: (513) 665-4839), will be celebrating Halloween and offering candy to trick or treaters. Families, school groups, and neighbors are all welcome. This event is free.

HallZOOween at the Cincinnati Zoo! From noon to 5 PM October 10th-11th, 17th-18th, 24th-25th, 31st, and November 1st, at the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, located at 3400 Vine Street (Phone: (513) 281-4700). Activities include trick or treat stations, special animal enrichment, pumpkin express train ride and carousel rides. Kids are encouraged to wear a costume but it is not required. The event is family friendly and FREE with Zoo admission or membership. More information is available on the zoo website.

Halloween Events Hosted by Public Libraries! There are several children friendly Halloween events available at local public libraries.

Wednesday, October 28th from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM, the Price Hill Branch library located at 970 Purcell Avenue (Phone: (513) 369-4490), will host Not So Scary Halloween, featuring sing-along songs, puppets, and stories for the season for children ages 5 through 9. The event is FREE and no registration is required.

Halloween Family Storytime for pre-schoolers, Thursday, October 29th from 10:15 to 10:45 AM at the Downtown Main Library, located at 800 Vine Street (Phone: (513) 369-6900). Children and caregivers are encouraged to wear costumes. After story time and songs, trick or treating will occur on the first floor.

Contact the Greenhills Branch Library, located at 8 Enfield St (Phone: (513) 369-4441), for their 2026 Halloween storytime dates and times. Costumes are typically welcome.

WW PTA Halloween Event from 6 PM to 8 PM Saturday, October 31st at the Forest Park Branch Library, located at 660 Northland Blvd (Phone: (513) 369-4478). The event includes candy, snacks, games and face painting. Children of all ages and teens welcome.

All day Saturday, October 31st, the Westwood Branch library located at 3345 Epworth Avenue (Phone: (513) 369-4474), will host Trick or Treat at the Library, with treats for those in costume. The event is FREE, all ages are welcome, no registration is required. And…

Friday, October 23rd from 5 PM to 7 PM The Friars Club, located at 4300 Vine Street (Phone: (513) 488-8777), will host Friars Club Halloween Extravaganza 2026!. Food, games, bounce house, prizes, a costume contest (starting at 6:45 PM), and more!

Cincinnati Neighborhood Trick or Treating will take place on Saturday, October 31st, from 6 PM to 8 PM. Some neighborhoods have adjusted hours.
