Free Highfield Discovery Garden Admission with Ohio EBT Card

Visitors with a valid food assistance card (Ohio Direction Card or Ohio EBT card) can receive FREE admission to the Highfield Discovery Garden on regular operating days. The Highfield Discovery Garden is 12-acre garden designed to encourage kids of all ages to explore the natural world in a fun, engaging environment. Along with the 25-foot Discovery Tree, there are seven smaller gardens to explore there as well: The Frog & Toads Garden, The Wizard’s Garden, The Trolley Garden, The Vegetable Garden, Grandma’s Scent Garden, The Morph Caterpillar Garden, and The Butterfly Garden.

Stop into the Visitor Centre and show your valid food assistance card and state-issued photo ID for entry. Guests receive admission for four individuals per card, per visit. Guests can visit Highfield Discovery Garden as many times as they would like; there are no limits on daily visits throughout the year.

The Highfield Discovery Garden is located at 10397 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45215.

The Visitor Center & Discovery Garden Hours (weather permitting) are:

January 1st through March 31st: Closed Mondays & Tuesdays. Wednesday through Saturday, 10:30 AM through 4:30 PM, Sundays Noon through 4:30 PM.

April 1st through October 31: Closed Mondays. 9:30 AM to 5 PM Tuesdays through Saturdays, and Noon to 5 PM on Sundays.


November 1st through March 31st: Closed Mondays & Tuesdays. 10:30 AM through 4:30 PM Wednesdays through Saturdays, and Noon through 4:30 PM Sundays.


The Park is closed New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

Educational programs are offered during all open days to the public and Highfield Discovery Garden passholders. Programs are included for FREE with admission.
